Walking Tours in Wales

If you are interested in joining walking tours in Wales this year, there is great news!  You will have the opportunity to explore two new routes - the Wat’s Dyke Heritage Trail and the Ceredigion Coast Path, both about 60 miles long.

The Wat’s Dyke Heritage Trail follows the route of an ancient dyke that is said to be the earliest border between England and Wales.  This route runs parallel to the Offa’s Dyke Trail and combines footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes between Llanymynech near Welshpool and Greenfield near Holywell.

The trail briefly crosses the border into Shropshire, England and the town of Oswestry before returning into Northeast Wales.

The Ceredigion Coast Path in central West Wales links Ynyslas, in the northern extreme of Ceredigion, with Cardigan at the Teifi Estuary and extends beyond to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

This trail includes outstanding environmental and historical sites with one of the most scenic areas on the Welch coast. Major sites you will pass on this trail include the Teifi Marshes National Nature Reserve and Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran; historic Holy Trinity Church;
the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast with boats available to take you out to be up close to bottlenose dolphins, seals and porpoise; fantastic  beaches and picturesque villages; towns where Dylan Thomas lived and wrote; and the university town of Aberystwyth.

The scenery is to die for; the people are welcoming and friendly.  Why are you waiting?  Call me to learn more about how you can enjoy these walking tours in Wales independently or with a small group of like-minded walkers and an experienced guide.
