If you love being independent and exploring on your own, a self-drive Irish vacation package is one of the best ways to experience the country. You’ll pick up your pre-arranged rental car at the international airport - either Shannon or Dublin - and be off forging your own way along the winding roads, stopping whenever you want to admire the stunning scenery or quaint village shop.
Bed and breakfast stays are almost synonymous with a self-drive vacation. Staying at a small bed and breakfast is a great way to meet the local people and learn more about the area. When you reserve a self-drive vacation package with bed and breakfast stays, you’ll receive a booklet of all possible accommodations and vouchers to be used for each night. The booklet has a brief description of each property, its location, number of rooms and contact information. Sending an email to reserve a room in advance and make any special arrangements - important if you need a room on a ground floor or with a crib - will eliminate the frustration of trying to find somewhere with availability once you arrive.
It is great fun to create your own vacation itinerary. With a bit of planning before your departure, you can satisfy your independent spirit and still have the comfort of a cozy bed and breakfast stay while enjoying your Irish vacation package.
