Budget Travel Ireland
There are a lot of possibilities for budget travel to Ireland, even in the peak summer months. The least expensive time to travel to Ireland, however, is during the winter. Ireland’s winters are mild (with temperatures mostly in the 40s Fahrenheit) compared to the northern US and the travel deals are plentiful - airfares and accommodations are significantly reduced in the low season. Be aware, though, that many resorts and attractions either close for the winter or operate with reduced hours.

Camping and/or renting a camper van is another way to keep costs down while touring the countryside. Ireland has over 200 camp sites where you can relax amidst the spectacular scenery.
“Self-catering” vacations are a favorite among budget travelers and include a rental house or cottage with cooking facilities. Properties are available throughout the country for periods of a few days to a week or more. By choosing a central location, you’ll be able to enjoy day trips to many attractions or just take it easy in the privacy of a private home.
Farm stays are popular for budget travel to Ireland

One of the most popular vacations for budget travel to Ireland is stays at rural farm houses. You’ll be made to feel at home in the relaxed casual atmosphere on each farm. The farm stays are less expensive than traditional B&Bs but may not include en-suite facilities. These vacations are in high demand and it is best to book early to reserve your place.
With low-cost or complementary entry to many attractions and events, and a wealth of walking trails and outdoor experiences, budget travel to Ireland may be within your means.
