Another 2-night stay is at the Cabra Castle Hotel, a 4-star historic Ireland luxury castle tracing its roots back to 1760, with a combination of accommodations in the original castle (note: on chilly evenings these rooms may be a bit brisk) and a newer renovation, with more spacious rooms, in the courtyard. Cabra Castle features a 9-hole golf course and horse riding for all levels, with fishing available near by in one of Co Caven’s many lakes.
Your final 2 nights will be a memorable stay at Clontarf Castle Hotel in Dublin’s Northside suburbs, less than 2 miles from the center of the city and a short 20 minute drive to the international airport. This property dates back to the 12th century, was totally rebuilt in 1837, and converted to a hotel in 1998. A 2007 refurbishment maintained the historic features of the exterior and public areas, and updated the guest rooms in a contemporary style. Clontarf Castle Hotel is in an excellent location to explore Dublin and the surrounding east coast regions.
